A comprehensive guide to remove "Powered by Shopify"
Remove the Powered by Shopify text from your store in less than 5 minutes, you will see how simple its is following the next steps:

Open the Online Store Section and access the Theme
In your admin dashboard, navigate to the menu on the left side of your screen. Click on the "Online Store" option. This will open up a sub-menu. From there, click on "Themes".
Below your current theme's preview image, click on the "Actions" button and from the dropdown menu, select “Edit Code”.
Locating Footer.Liquid File
Once inside the code, in the left menu look inside the "Sections" folder, within there look for a file named "footer.liquid" and click on it. If not there, it could be in the "Snippets" directory.
Finding and deleting the powered by link
Press "CTRL + F" (Windows) or "CMD + F" (Mac) to open the search box and search for "powered".
This will highlight the part of the code containing "Powered by Shopify". Delete this part of the code but be very careful not to delete anything else.
Find the save button at the top right corner of the page and click on it.
And that's it!
Go back to your shop's page and scroll to the footer, the "powered by Shopify" text should be gone (if you don't see the change take place, if you had a preview page already opened, close it and open it again, as sometimes you can't see the update until you reopen the preview page).
